Moroccan linens

A Journey…

Nurtured by the stories of my mother and grandparents, who lived for many years in this part of Africa, I developed an early sensitivity to the charm of Morocco and the refinement of the Hashemite Kingdom’s culture.

They would share their deep affection for the country, the elegance of its cuisine… Over the course of many trips, I discovered the beauty of its light and landscapes, the splendor of its architecture, and the exceptional hospitality of its people.

Later on, I had the privilege of living and working there—a life-changing experience that allowed for a more intimate, authentic, and inspiring discovery of the country.

A few years later, in 2017, after spending several years in London and yearning for a sense of the exotic, I founded Moodbox, my small interior design company. From the very beginning, it gave pride of place to Moroccan craftsmanship. Through collaborations with weavers, potters, blacksmiths, and embroiderers, I began developing my own collections and gradually turned my attention more specifically toward home linens.

Over time, a partnership naturally formed and deepened with the Lumière de Tazert embroidery workshop—especially, and unexpectedly, during the Covid period, when the world seemed to turn inward. Through our continued collaboration, I was able to help the association carry on its noble mission. As our bond grew stronger, I felt a profound need to support the association in gaining recognition beyond Morocco’s borders.

This is how B(r)odraps – Lumière de Tazert was born—a brand of unique bed linen that brings together my dedication to exceptional craftsmanship and the unparalleled talent of the association’s embroiderers.

Founded by Malika and her brother, Lumière de Tazert supports 240 embroiderers in a village of over 400 inhabitants, providing them with a monthly income from their work and offering literacy classes. Malika and her son Oussama were adamant that the association’s name be part of the project, in order to give it visibility beyond Morocco—and that goal has now been achieved.

Through B(r)odraps – Lumière de Tazert, the ambition is to shine a light on this ancestral embroidery know-how, and to celebrate the art of these exceptional women by offering exquisite, hand-embroidered home linens that blend tradition and modernity.
